Florida Mature Driver Program

If you are 55 years of age or older and have a Florida drivers' license,
you are eligible to complete a six hour motor vehicle accident
prevention course which can save you money on your auto insurance rates!

The Venice Area Chamber of Commerce's Senior Outreach Committee supports
the program and its benefit to both the senior citizens and our area
community. "Our committee applauds this program for its effort in
creating a safer driving environment for our local roadways, but also
appreciates the added benefit of helping those seniors on fixed incomes
save money on their auto insurance expenses."

Hosted by Manatee Community College, the class offers valuable
information about how age may affect your driving skills, and gives
seniors a "refresher" on basic driving techniques. Upon successful
completion of the course, you may submit the certificate to your
insurance company for a mandatory reduction on your car insurance rate
for three years (Florida Statute 627.0652).

MCC hosts the class quarterly and offers convenient class locations in
Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Please call 408-1520 to register or to
